Travel Trailer Weights (from CAT scales)

For travel trailer/bumper pulls, you need three sets of weights:

Truck + camper hooked up (WDH engaged)
Truck + camper hooked up (WDH off)
Truck only

Instructions for Weighing a Travel Trailer

Weight #1 - Truck and Camper Hooked Up (WDH engaged)

Steer Axle (aka Truck's Front Wheels)

You want this weight to be under your front axle weight rating (FAWR).

Drive Axle (aka Truck's Rear Wheels)

You want this weight to be under your rear axle weight rating (RAWR).

Trailer Axle (aka Trailer's Wheels)

This is the weight the trailer's axles are carrying. You want this to be under the weight rating of the trailer's axles (combined for more than 1 axle).

Weight #2 - Truck and Camper Hooked Up (WDH tossed in the truck bed)

Steer Axle (aka Truck's Front Wheels)

You want this weight to be under your front axle weight rating (FAWR).

Drive Axle (aka Truck's Rear Wheels)

You want this weight to be under your rear axle weight rating (RAWR).

Trailer Axle (aka Trailer's Wheels)

This is the weight the trailer's axles are carrying. You want this to be under the weight rating of the trailer's axles (combined for more than 1 axle).

Weight #3 - Truck Only
